This is a sample report for special education. This is a great example of what needs to be included in a report for a student who is being evaluated for the special education program. This is a great resource for parents who are doing this for the first time. I will send parents to this website so they begin to understand what will appear in the report.

RTI, CBM, and Dynamic Learning Maps
Response to Intervention: I found the website ritap.org. http://www.ritap.org/rti/about/faq.php
This website is a great introduction to Response to Intervention with guidelines and helpful suggestions when you implement RTI in the classroom as well as the process that you go through as a teacher. This website is based on information from Rhode Island so the process will be slightly different here in Utah.
When teaching I will use this website as a helpful guide when using RTI in the classroom.

This website gives information on CBM but the answers are not for just teachers but a great resource for parents as well.

Ethical Considerations for Assessment

5. It can be used to get parents to connect with other parents.

Video Editing Top Ten!!!
Top Ten for Editing Video!!!
1. Download the video you want to edit on your computer.
2. Have your topic in mind before you start making your video.
3. Before you start editing watch the video.
4. Play around with splitting your video before making the video.
5. Make all your clips before you make your video.
6. Be okay with restarting your edit. Sometimes it helps to restart if you mess up.
7. Do not rush. Video editing takes time.
8. Use transitions to help your video.
9. Play your video thru several times to make sure your transitions work.
10.Have Fun!!

Webquest Top Ten!!!
Top Ten for Webquest!!
1. Use the Utah Core as a guideline to your webquest.2. Use the webquest as a part of your lesson. Not the whole thing.
3. Use several websites. Most of mine are from NASA.
4. Use pictures to enhance the assignment.
5. Do not make the assignment to long.
6. Make the assignment fun.
7. Allow students to do this with partners.
8. Use the webquest to cover multiple content areas. My webquest covers science and a little bit of language arts.
9. Great activity for centers.
10. Understand that this takes time.

4. Before referring the app to parents play around with it and then tell parents about it.
5. Use apps in your class to help students understand subjects.
6. For the sight word app, use the pre-made lists.

8. Make sure that the apps you use are children friendly that way kids can use them.

Sight Words Apple App
Sight
Words App
As an elementary school teacher I will be teaching
students how to read and recognize sight words.
A free app called Sight Words is part of the Apple App store inventory. This
is a great app that I think will be very useful for several reasons. The first is that this app is centered on
sight words that students in pre-school, kindergarten, first grade, second
grade, and third grade need to learn. This
app also contains a list that contains nouns that students need to learn. The app also a features a setting, that
allows a student to hear how the word is pronounced. It is also great because you can create your
own lists and you can record your voice saying the words. Another great use for this app, besides sight
words, you can also use this for mathematics and any other lessons that use
note cards. Timing the use of slides is
also a great option. You can allow a
student to go slow the first time through the list and increase the speed of
the slides as their proficiencies increase.
There are also game options that students can play to help them learn
the words.
This app would be a great tool to use in a classroom. You can use this app to help students
one-on-one when they are learning sight words and in small groups. You can use this to test students. I will also use this as a tool when teaching
students basic mathematical facts.
This is a great app that I will refer to parents to use
at home, and I will use it as one of my teaching tools when working on items
where note cards are beneficial.

4. Use different fonts to help your presentation.
5. Play around with the animations. You can either animate the whole slide or the objects in the slide or do both.
6. Add images to the slides. You can also add a link to show a movie.
7. When recording your voice over make sure the room you are in is quite before you start recording.
8. Make sure you talk slowly. This way people can understand what you are saying.

Prezi Top Ten:
1. Before starting watch the videos explaining how prezi works.2. Play around with the different formats. Get used to it before you start your project.
3. When getting to work on you presentation figure out everything you want to use.
4. Figure out the order you want your presentation to be.
5. Figure out the layout. You can make your own layout or you can use one they have created.
6 Play with the background. You have several color choices to choose from.
7. Play with themes. They have several options and font options go with that.
8. Play with the effects.
9. Re size everything. Make sure everything you use fits into your cells or frames. Be consistent with size.
